The Endress+Hauser PROline Promass 83 I is a Coriolis meter with direct inline viscosity measurement as a 4th primary variable.

It is now possible for plants to improve their process and benefit from the advantages of straight tube Coriolis technology with the measurement of four core fluid properties in one flowmeter: mass, density, temperature and viscosity.

The single straight tube meter has its advantages in the hygienic design, long-term stability, insensitivity to external influences such as vibration, as well as 'fit-and-forget' installation.

Typical inline viscosity applications include quality control of paint thickness, improving spray nozzle efficiency (spray driers and burners), process control in polymerisation and confectionery and chocolate manufacture.
