Signal isolator/converters

The UTX series signal isolator/converters accept voltage or current inputs from field devices and provide an isolated voltage or current output.

They present a minimal load to the input signal device and have true voltage source/high drive capability outputs making them suitable for signal boosting over long runs or for heavily loaded loops.

Designed using microprocessor technology, they offer many benefits compared to older (analog type) signal isolators. They eliminate the need to specify, and stock, an array of interface modules as it is easy to set the units up to suit any combination of current/voltage input or output including bipolar input formats.

All units include selectable digital filtering and can perform absolute value calculations, limit the output signal to the calibrated range and/or operate the outputs with direct or reverse action. Models are available with inbuilt linearisation for square law signals (incorporating low signal cut-out to prevent accumulated errors at low signal levels). The housing mounts on both DIN rail and G rail and has removable terminal blocks for easy maintenance.
