Repairable plastic pallets

Brickwood Holdings has added an Australian dimension (1165 x 1165 mm) high-performance pallet to its range of repairable plastic pallets made at their Cheltenham, Victoria, plant under licence from Orbis Corporation of Wisconsin, USA.

The Multi-Pal pallet contains steel reinforcing, making it capable of being edge-supported with loads up to 1500 kg, which means it can be used in the automatic storage and retrieval systems such as are in use with the major beverage manufacturers and distribution centres. This is a capability that until now has been out of reach of plastic pallets.

There is significant interest from within the food manufacturing sector in removing wood pallets from the manufacturing process, with their attendant problems associated with product damage and potential for contamination.

Brickwood/Orbis plastic pallets are always uniform in dimension and weight and are easily cleanable, making them suitable for high-speed conveying and storage systems utilising rollers chains and cranes, where accuracy in performance is essential.
