The Quest SoundPro DLX instrument is a complete handheld acoustic system based on a multi-processor digital signal processing (DSP) platform.

The SoundPro DLX combines all the features of an integrating sound level meter but by including an internal 1/1 or 1/3 digital octave filter, it becomes a real-time octave band analyser. This is a significant advancement from traditional sound level meters and octave band analysers - the efficiencies gained by real-time frequency analysis reduce testing times for octave and 1/3 octave analysis efforts by 91 to 97% respectively.

The SoundPro DLX fully complies with the requirements of IEC/EN 61672 and previous appropriate international standards for sound level meters and octave filters.

The SoundPro DLX takes sound level measurements of all octave band data simultaneously in one sample, saving both time and money. Voice, text and drawing notes can be added to help further describe special circumstances or events that relate to a study.

The 'three meters in one' feature takes the results from three separately configured virtual meters and displays them simultaneously in real time on the LCD screen. This screen is claimed to be the largest coloured PDA style graphical display for this type of instrument in the industry. For remote access, connect the SoundPro DLX to a network and use the internal webserver to remotely control the instrument and view the data from any device with access to the network.
