The PMS range of pressure maintenance control systems uses proven control technology to achieve a constant on-demand pressure in pumping systems.

They may be used in a wide variety of applications, such as high rise pressure maintenance, playing field irrigation, golf course irrigation, washdown area systems and any other area where a varying load is to be kept at a constant pressure.

The PMS uses integral and auxiliary switchgear to control and sequence 1-4 pumps in a duty/standby configuration. The duty mode is rotated between the pumps on a run time basis, ensuring even share of load.

The PMS operates entirely on demand, with the duty pump starting on variable speed mode. The PMS is supplied complete with a 4-20 mA pressure transducer sized to suit the installation. Information such as motor data, operating pressure, power supply data etc, is provided by a digital backlit readout on the front of the enclosure. Each pump has its own run and fault indicators, along with a selector switch for manual, off and auto modes. Isolation and protection is provided for each pump, along with an overall system isolator.

The PMS range is available for the control of pumps up to 37 kW. An additional smaller jockey pump control system may be added where the initial demand does not warrant the starting of larger main system pumps. The jockey pump is taken off-line when the demand becomes too great, allowing the main pump system to take over.
