Pressure filters

The Larox C Series and DS Series pressure filters are designed to be application specific while meeting the process, performance and operational requirements in the food, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Larox C Series offers the same basic reliability and performance of the existing Larox Chemical Industry products in a machine specifically developed for clean processes, while the Larox DS Series filter is a totally enclosed design with the option of gas-tight operation for sanitary or solvent-based processes.

Applications in the food and beverage industry include: sugar, starch, beer and wine, enzymes, protein and yeast.

The DS Series features a totally enclosed design; isolated filter mechanics; sloping drain surfaces; internal and external CIP system; multiple cake washing and cake drying options; corrosion-resistant design; and single side discharge.

Both designs are fully automatic offering 100% hands-off operation, even though they are batch operation. Batch operation enables the filter to be fine-tuned to provide optimum results in terms of product quality, product recovery, throughput, cake dry solids and wash efficiency. The Larox DS Series filter also enables multiple cake washing options due to its double-sided filtration design.
