The Jumo Imago 500 panel mounting (92 x 92 mm cut-out) process controller can be operated as a fixed setpoint controller or as a profile or program controller. As a profile controller it provides 50 programs, each of a 1000 individual steps.

Programs can be edited via the front panel or through the use of a Jumo program editor on a Windows 95/98/NT4.0/2000/ME platform.

The Jumo Imago 500 can also operate in recorder mode, displaying parameter trends. The controller can be used in stand-alone or fieldbus environments. Operator prompting is provided by clearly laid out diagrams, symbols and texts on the 100 x 134 mm colour screen. The Jumo Imago 500 accepts up to eight analog inputs (RTDs, thermocouples, standard and resistance transmitters, etc.) and six logic inputs as floating channels. Multi-loop control is possible. A modular design provides flexibility and allows the ready expansion of additional process inputs and outputs. The Jumo Imago 500 can be configured to have up to 12 outputs (eg, relays with NO or CO contacts, solid-state relays, 0-5 V logic levels, analog signals and supply rails for a two-wire transmitter). Control capability is further enhanced by the provision of 16 alarms with delay on/off function, as well as by maths and logic functions. The controller is provided as standard with a RS 422/485 port with optional Modbus, Jbus and Profibus interfaces.
