InfoWorks version 5 includes a package of enhancements that further extends the software in modelling efficiency.
The main enhancements include: advanced 3D terrain mapping and viewing, enabling zooming and rotation; automatic generation of Thiessen polygons of any complexity for automatic allocation of run-off; enhanced importer dialogues for land use, soil types, and run-off, including the SCS methodology; simple import of data in geodatabase format to add to the existing GIS import functions; accurate demand allocation for water supply, including automatic listing of customers affected by pipe closure; improved handling of TINs for River Basin mapping; enhanced water quality modelling, including age of water, for water supply modelling; and increase in model size to 100,000 nodes.
