Machine safety lock

The CL range of lock mechanisms has been extended to include a masterable lock version. The Master Lock called ML offers in excess of 200,000 masterable combinations in up to 2000 sets.

Combinations are determined by customer defined coding details supplied at the time of ordering, giving full control over the integrity of the interlock system.

Operation is easy with dual orientation key entry and smooth rotation. All contact surfaces are made of stainless steel, and a spring-loaded stainless steel dustcover is available as an optional extra.

Multi-level masterable options are available, and the ML is compatible with both the AmGard and H31 product ranges. The high integrity product can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to +150°C.

In a typical application, the key is inserted and turned, turning the spindle projecting from the ML lock. With mounting bracketry the spindle can operate switchgear etc. The key is freed in the 12 o'clock position. Standard movement is 90° clockwise; 45° and 60° options are available on request. Locks are 'handed' with either a right hand or left hand mounting bias.

The ML range is designed for applications where multiple keys are required to operate individual locks, creating a hierarchy of control. Typical applications include the control of electrical switchgear and operator entry into guarded areas.
