The i.roc 410 industrial PDA from ecom instruments is made to withstand falls of up 1 m onto a concrete surface without damage. It carries a rating of IP65 for moisture and dust ingress.
Tough, but versatile, the i.roc's enable as many as three different possibilities of wireless data association with other devices in ex-zones: via the infrared interface (IrDA), via WLAN 802.11b or with Bluetooth. VPN software, WEP coding and the support of Cisco LEAP ensure a high level of data security.
Each unit features a backlit TFT touchscreen. Entries are made via the touchscreen, a 5-way navigation field or user programmable keys. The PDA is equipped with a 400 MHz Intel processor and uses the Microsoft Windows Mobile 2003 platform, Pocket PC versions of the programs Outlook, Word, Excel and Internet Explorer are included.
