NetComm has introduced a range of 4- and 8-port VoIP gateways called the SmartVoice series. Any SME or branch office can upgrade its current phone system and add VoIP. The SmartVoice range has units with alarm FXS, all FXO and a mix of FXS and FXO ports.

The gateways routing table allows up to 30 prefixes to be entered which handles least cost routing to either PSTN or IP. Private networks can use peer to peer calling using the phone book, which can register up to 100 extensions. The gateways also support call forward, call hold and call transfer and include an IVR and call hunting for IP calls.

The gateway is easy to integrate with current analog PBX systems and is totally transparent for end users as they simply use their phone as normal, with the gateway looking after the least cost routing.
