The upgrade to the IMAC alarm printer replacement system provides enhancements to its alarm processing functions.

The Alarm Notification System (ANS), an additional IMAC software module, allows users to: receive a telephone message when IMAC receives specific alarms or events; dial into IMAC and have all unacknowledged alarms played back over the telephone; configure IMAC to dial up a mobile pager/telephone and, if applicable, send either DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) tones or SMS text messages to it; receive email messages automatically generated by IMAC, which could be sent to up to 1000 addresses worldwide.

All notification events functions are configurable. IMAC processes the alarm messages generated by the PLC or DCS and can categorise alarms based on priority, system, or any other parameter.

Other features can provide summary information or reports, including emailed reports.
