Boreland resurfaces

If you were wondering what had happened to industry stalwart Dave Boreland, ex of Edward Keller and latterly of Omega, well, he has resurfaced, still in the industry but this time at the helm of his own company.

The two Directors of BR Marketing are Boreland and Paul Rapson, also an ex-Edward Keller manager. Together they have a combined experience of over 40 years in the electrical industry and they intend to use that to good effect.

Based in Melbourne, BR Marketing Services operates as, "a marketing partner to both local and international companies", says Boreland.

In essence this means BR is undertaking market studies for companies wishing to enter, or consider entering, the Australian market. BR Marketing is also planning to operate as an agent for manufacturers who wish to sell directly to the market.

Boreland added that BR could provide unbiased reports on potential companies, including market acceptance, customer perceptions and actual performance.

"We can conduct initial, and ongoing negotiations if required, and provide support for the new distributor or distributors to ensure a successful partnership."

Clearly there is a demand in the Australian market for this type of service and indeed BR is already working with Nexans Cables, SI Computer Products, MCORP International and several other undisclosed companies.
