There haven't been too many bright technology stories recently. However, one of Australia's leading software component manufactures, it-partners.com, is set to change this with the release of its ActiveX component, itGrid.

Essentially, ActiveX components are re-useable pieces of software that significantly reduce application development time frames and costs.

Respected industry analyst Gartner Group has publicly stated, "By 2003, 70% of new applications will be deployed as a combination of pre-assembled and newly created components integrated to form complex business systems."

While not receiving the attention of other industry sectors, the software component market has been experiencing massive growth. Most analysts' estimates put the component market at above US$2 billion per year, and rising.

International analysts IDC recently said, "IDC believes that software components represent the future of software development."

A fully functional evaluation version of itGrid is available via download from the it-partners.com website (www.it-partners.com).
