MatrikonOPC OPC Server for Allen Bradley

The Allen Bradley OPC Server from MatrikonOPC enables OPC access to PLC5, SLC500, Micrologix and ControlLogix PLCs. It is designed for those users that are integrating their Allen Bradley PLCs with historians, HMIs and other OPC-enabled applications or devices without the need for any third-party applications.

This Allen Bradley OPC Server securely communicates over Ethernet, serial and ‘Blue Hose’ using many Allen Bradley protocols such as DF1, DH+, DH485 and EtherNet/IP.

Unlike other Allen Bradley-to-OPC interfaces, the MatrikonOPC Server for Allen Bradley can grant and deny access to tags based on user login. It enables a secure access to control and automation systems and opens new connectivity possibilities to other parties.

The OPC Server for Allen Bradley PLCs includes a number of time-saving features such as: automatic detection of PLC configuration changes; loading of device configuration files .l5k, .pc5 and .slc; bit writes through OPC tags; automatic device discovery; support for user-defined structures in ControlLogix PLCs; automatic tag generation for each device; and automatic serial port configuration.

A wide range of analog, digital and specialty I/O modules is available, and the OPC Server supports device-level redundancy through fail-over channels.
