Combined video and trend historian

The Longwatch Video Historian now offers Canary Labs Trend Historian and Trend Link software that enables users to link video with plant data. Together, the two systems archive all the relevant information - video and real-time data - from a process or automation system, making it much easier for plant operators and engineers to analyse events, alarms and actions.

If an alarm occurs, or operators want to analyse problems with a system, both the archived trend data and video can be replayed and displayed simultaneously using the Longwatch Viewer software. This allows operators and engineers to see all of the pertinent process data from the historian, plus view video of the process equipment, at the same points in time.

Canary’s Trend Link chart object, integrated into the Longwatch Video Historian for automatic visual synchronisation of trend charts and video, can interface to other historical data archives using OPC-HDA. Similarly, the Canary Labs Trend Historian collection engine can obtain real-time data directly from PLCs, RTUs, data acquisition systems, DCS, PC-based control systems and other smart systems via OPC interfaces.

The Canary Labs historian and trending component is part of the Starter Pack of Longwatch’s Video Historian software.
