Schneider Electric Australia certified by MESA
Schneider Electric is the first vendor in Australia to achieve the Certificate of Competency with the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA), an international global community of manufacturers, producers, industry leaders and solution providers focused on improving operations management capabilities through technology solutions and best practice.
Alison Koh, Product Manager for SCADA and MES, Schneider Electric, Industry Business, said that MES in Europe and the United States is highly accepted due to investments being made in the MES approach, and that it is now Australia’s chance to catch up.
“There is a significant opportunity for Australian organisations. Those undertaking the certificate of competency will help breed best practice in Australia with a strong focus on operations metrics, process modelling and architecture,” Koh said. “Customers will see numerous benefits from embracing MES. It can help improve business results and production operations through optimised application and implementation of IT and best management practices.
“The data that can be aggregated from using the operations management software can also assist in managing assets and downtime in equipment more effectively and can help plant and operations make more validated decisions,” Koh said.
The completion of the Certificate of Competency demonstrates Schneider Electric’s capability and depth of knowledge in MES systems and interfaces as well as the standards ISA95, 88, 99.
