Citect appoints global CEO

Citect, a leading international real-time intelligence and industrial automation software company, has appointed Christopher Crowe as chief executive officer.

Crowe takes the helm from the previous CEO, John Ross, who announced his retirement after more than 38 years within the electrical industry.

Previously the vice-president of global sales and services for Citect, Crowe has more than 22 years’ experience in the automation and control industry. He has held a number of executive positions with Schneider Electric (Australia) during the past decade, including general manager sales, general manager automation and general manager marketing. Prior to joining Citect, Crowe worked for a number of automation solution companies, including Analog Devices, Yokogawa, Intellution and Wonderware.

Crowe takes on the day-to-day management of the company and will be working closely with Citect’s global partner network.
