Vega DTM Collection 07/2010 with PACTware 4.0

Vega has released its DTM Collection 07/2010 that includes PACTware 4.0 as well as new device drivers and functional extensions for various sensors. Parallel to the introduction of enhanced instrument functions, the company brings out a new release of its DTM Collection every year. The collection also contains PACTware 4.0.

The DTMs describe the hardware and present all adjustment functions graphically. All DTMs for parameterisation of instruments are developed according to the FDT/DTM style guide and compiled in the DTM Collection. Beside the upgraded DTMs for plicsplus Foundation fieldbus radar sensors, the DTM Collection also contains the DTMs for operation of the GPRS/GSM communication components PLICSMOBILE and the radiation-based instrument series ProTrac. The current DTMs of the plicsplus instrument family also support asset management functions. These provide important status information as per the NAMUR recommendation NE 107 Self-Monitoring and Diagnosis of Field Instruments and thus offer extended diagnosis options.

In addition to the TCI interface and support for IO-Link, PACTware 4.0 offers diagnostic scanning. This allows the scanning of instrument networks to determine the state of each instrument, following NAMUR recommendation NE 107. The user thus gets important information about the condition of the entire system. PACTware 4.0, as well as the new DTMs, are compatible with Windows 7.

The latest DTMs replace older DTMs of the same production series, but backward compatibility is guaranteed throughout all instrument versions.
