ReeR Mosaic modules allow the connection of remote I/O system expansions via an MSC bus.
This range is suitable for the interconnection of the safety functions of multiple machines on a single production line. The units can be connected in series or in a tree network, with the maximum number of expansion units being five.
All modules are also designed for use within a range of industrial IP protocols including ethernet, DeviceNet, ProfiNet and Profibus.
The following modules are available: MCT1, with one connection interface, for installation at the end or at the beginning of the network; and MCT2, with two connection interfaces (one input and one output), used for passthrough or as a tree network connection.
The MCTs are interconnected using RS485 type shielded cable (four wires plus shield), allowing up to 100 m per connection.
