Purge solutions such as the Pepperl+Fuchs 5000 and 6000 Series purge pressurisation system provide the means to operate general-purpose equipment in classified areas or in environments that are highly corrosive or dusty. The principle behind purge and pressurisation systems is to prevent a corrosive, dusty or potentially explosive atmosphere from penetrating a closed protective housing using an overpressure technology. Pepperl+Fuchs now offers local expertise designing and manufacturing solutions that satisfy safety and operational requirements in today’s process automation environments.

Rugged construction makes the series suitable for use in applications where corrosive or potentially explosive environments exist, and their advanced and flexible design - as well as universal mounting options - makes the units easy to integrate into existing and customised systems.

A user-friendly interface with backlit LCD and highly visible LEDs allows easy access to programming and operation. The manifold has an automatic purging and pressurisation feature that offers considerable cost savings on gas applications using non-atmospheric air.

A gravity-free flapper and rotatable vent cap with spark arrestor allow the vent to be mounted in any orientation, even inside the enclosure, while internal flow and pressure sensors detect different rates of purging and pressurisation, providing the ability to have multiple flow rates.
