Omron F3S-TGR-N stainless steel coded non-contact switches

Tuesday, 17 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Omron Electronics Pty Ltd

The F3S-TGR-N stainless steel coded non-contact switches have been introduced with the food processing industry in mind. The switches are used to interlock hinge, sliding or removable guard doors.

The compact design enables them to be used in tough and hygienic environments. They feature a bright LED indicator to enable machine operators to identify quickly which door is open. The switches have an extended operating range which tolerates poor guard alignment and, due to no moving or touching parts, are suitable for applications where a long mechanical life is required. When used in combination with approved dual-channel safety modules, the non-contact switches can be used to provide Category 3 or 4 according to local standards.

Features include: the switches satisfy IEC 60947-5-3 PDF-M and feature a compact 50 mm metal enclosure made from 316L stainless steel, two NC switching circuits, individual switch indication, and the ability to connect up to six switches to one safety module. A flying lead M12 connector version is available.
