Leuze electronic has released the multiple light beam safety device (MLD) range, including a three-beam transceiver system, as well as traditional receiver-transmitter type systems. MLD has various integrated features such as fully integrated muting controller that requires no programming, EDM and integrated start/restart interlock.

The MLD series is available in MLD300 type 2 (PLd) and MLD 500 type 4 (PLe), and both series are available in a wide range of function levels.

Another benefit of the MLD series is the heavy-duty rugged aluminium extrusion housing with a high IP67 rating. A choice of mounting brackets in either traditional L-shape brackets or bayonet style 240 °rotatable brackets allow for ease of both mounting and alignment. The MLD is also compatible with the range of available Leuze protective mounting columns and mirror systems.

For sender-receiver systems the standard operating range is up to 50 m (70 m for single beam) and extended range versions up to 70 m (100 m for single beam).

Key features available on the MLD, all available in 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-beam versions, are automatic restart (310, 312 and 510), selectable start/restart interlock and EDM (320 and 520) and selectable start/restart interlock and EDM, integrated muting controller and optional integrated LED muting indicator (330 and 530).
