Rockwell Automation have upgraded their allen-Bradley Guard I/O safety I/O range. Guard I/O provides all the advantages of traditional distributed I/O for safety systems. It reduces wiring costs and startup time for machines and cells, as compared to in-chassis I/O.
Guard I/O can be used with any safety controller that communicates on DeviceNet or EtherNet/IP networks. Several Guard I/O block variants are available, providing a variety of features for both in-cabinet and on-machine mounting.
