The Bebco EPS 6500 Series Ex pyb purge and pressurisation system is designed to provide protection for operating general-purpose electrical equipment in Zone 1/21 explosion hazardous locations. Utilising the flexible Ex p protection method, the 6500 Series is a fully automatic system. It will purge a common enclosure of hazardous gas or dust and maintain a positive pressure, reducing the classification within the protected enclosure from Zone 1/21 to a non-hazardous area, and is ATEX/IECEx/CCC Ex Zone 1/21, SIL 2 certified. The control unit automatically controls power and pneumatics, and monitors enclosure temperature and pressure. An intrinsically safe LCD touchpad user interface enables configuration and monitoring during operation.

Remote monitoring capabilities are available via RS485/HART and Bluetooth connections, and a digital pressure relief vent provides for various flow rates and continuous flow or dilution. The 6500 Series is also available with multiple Zone-rated solenoid valves. Options include ATEX/IECEx-approved digital valves or proportional valves to provide controlled flow rates for a variety of applications.
