Wonderware is extending the integration of its open manufacturing software built on ArchestrA technology to the Microsoft Dynamics AX business management solution.

This capability will use the ISA-95 standard for enterprise-to-control system integration and will enable more seamless transfer of production order and material transactions between Microsoft Dynamics AX and multi-vendor plant systems that are integrated with Wonderware's software.

Wonderware's production and performance management, supervisory control, HMI and SCADA software systems are built on the open standards-based ArchestrA technology. By using standard B2MML (business-to-manufacturing mark-up language) messages, users can automatically download production schedule and bill-of-material (BOM) information to plant systems, obtain real-time views of actual production order status including alerts and receive real-time feedback of actual material consumptions for accurate report-as-finished journals.

Wonderware and Microsoft are collaborating in order to assist users in improving manufacturing throughput and on-time delivery with more accurate, real-time information for production planning, execution and predictable order fulfilment. At the same time, reduced total cost of ownership (TCO) is achieved through the widespread use of industry standards and the reusability of engineering and best practices.
