Wednesday, 28 September, 2011 | Supplied by: Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric has released its enclosed engineered drive solutions, the Altivar 61 Plus and Altivar 71 Plus, to extend its Altivar range of low-voltage variable speed drives. The Altivar Plus range is designed for harsh environmental conditions and meets the most common power monitoring and active energy reduction needs facing industries including: controlled torque, dynamic braking, quick start-up and power regeneration.

The Altivar 61/71 Plus engineered drives can be adapted for use with any application and are ready to be integrated into any drive system. They offer low-voltage power up to 2400 kW with common control, configuration and communications across the range; a flexible design for ease of configuration so the enclosed drive solutions are ready-to-use according to your requirements; and built-in filterless power cooling for optimised cooling efficiency.

The Altivar 61/71 Plus is delivered ready for connection, which reduces wiring costs and ensures quick installation and set-up of the drive.
