Enhancements to the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1100 family of industrial controllers from Rockwell Automation provide users with increased speed, power and communication capabilities. The Series B MicroLogix 1100 and MicroLogix 1100 DWD controllers deliver improved control and communications in one compact system.

Series B MicroLogix controllers include an onboard ethernet web server with the ability to notify users of production faults via email. The embedded communications port and web server provides access to control information for real-time data sharing by OEMs, remote maintenance engineers and personnel throughout the production facility. Users have easy access to basic controller and I/O status information with the embedded, multipurpose text LCD. A built-in 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP port offers high-speed, peer-to-peer messaging.

In addition, online editing functionality enables modifications to be made to a program while it is running. This allows fine-tuning of the operating control system, including PID loops, thus reducing development time and troubleshooting.

Rockwell Automation has added the MicroLogix 1100 DWD controller for applications requiring a 12-24 VDC power source.
