Citect integrates operations with Schneider Electric
Citect, a leading provider of industrial automation software, is integrating its field operations team with that of parent company, Schneider Electric and has announced plans to further invest in R&D.
“The combined expertise of the Citect and Schneider Electric automation field operations teams will give customers simpler but greater access to our integrated automation solutions, while our increased investment in research and development, and focus on service and support, will further increase the value we offer customers,” said Citect CEO, Christopher Crowe.
Citect will continue to develop both the Vijeo SCADA range as well as the CitectSCADA range in concert with its other software products.
CitectSCADA software will continue to be available from Citect’s network of more than 500 partners located in Asia–Pacific, South Africa, Europe and the Americas.
The new organisation will come into effect on 1 January 2009. Citect was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2006.
