Beijer Electronics X3 marine and X3 extreme HMIs

Beijer Electronics has added capacitive (PCAP) touchscreen technology to its X3 marine and X3 extreme HMI ranges, combining a modern, smartphone-like touch experience with the ruggedness required for industrial and marine applications.

The PCAP models are designed to provide fast, precise touch response with full multi-touch gestures, enabling more intuitive operation and modern interface designs that can improve operator efficiency and reduce training time. A durable solid-glass front provides high scratch resistance and long-term reliability, while high light transmission delivers display clarity in bright or variable lighting conditions.

For maritime applications, the X3 marine is designed to provide reliable performance at sea, with high visibility and a robust construction suited to demanding marine environments. Its flat, sealed glass front is easy to clean and supports high IP ratings, making it well suited to applications exposed to moisture, salt spray and frequent washdowns.

The X3 extreme combines PCAP touch technology with an anti-glare display and durability for harsh industrial environments. It delivers the benefits of modern multi-touch interaction while maintaining the robustness and reliability expected from the X3 platform. Available as both iX-powered HMIs and HTML5 web clients, the X3 PCAP models provide a choice of modern, responsive touchscreen operation without compromising the ruggedness, reliability and security of the X3 family.
