Mining pump

The HH160i mining pump is the latest addition to the HIMAX range of durable and reliable auto prime pumps. The pump provides a maximum shut head of 140 m and a maximum flow rate of 188 L/s. When operating at best efficiency point (BEP) the pump produces 95 m of head at 137 L/s flow rate.

The pump has a 78% efficiency at BEP, good shaft stiffness and a heavy-duty SAE (diesel) bearing frame.

The R&D team at Sykes has designed the pump to be robust, reliable and efficient. This all leads to lower operating costs, less fuel usage and less maintenance.

The pump is suitable for rental businesses and mine sites where application and duties are varied.

As with all Sykes pumps, the HH160i has impeller and replaceable wear plates in 316 SS as standard.

The SAE (diesel) mount bearing frame ensures consistent drive coupling alignment, a good feature for mobile skid application. The oversized bearings that are oil lubricated and fully protected by bearing isolators can reduce maintenance.

The pump is fitted with a high-pressure cartridge mechanical seal. The mechanical seal pumps its own glycol quench fluid allowing the pump to prime and re-prime on dry-run applications.
