Grommet enclosure for solenoid valves

Parker Fluid Control Division, manufacturer of the Skinner and Gold Ring lines of solenoid valves and the Sinclair Collins line of process control valves, announces the release of a grommet coil enclosure for its Series 204 and 304 solenoid valve lines.

The 204 and 304 Series are a family of direct-acting solenoid valves for air and liquid (including light oil) applications. The small, yet powerful valves are suitable for commercial, industrial, mobile, instrumentation and medical applications. Economy models are available for less demanding applications.

The Class F grommet enclosure is part of a conventional coil construction, which includes a taped, wrapped coil and 2-wire 18 leads. Overall, the construction is rated to withstand 155 °C and a standard 100% Continuous Duty Rating.

The 204 and 304 Series also offer tab and integrated coils. The interchangeable tab coil offers AC and DC coils for flexible production possibilities and the integrated coil features a rotating conduit hub for easy installation. The coils are rated NEMA 4X for outdoor use. Additionally, the series offers high-temperature, watertight coil designs to meet the most demanding environmental conditions. The encapsulated watertight design is available as a modular coil or a fully assembled valve.

The Series 204 (two-way) and the Series 304 (three-way) are available as normally-closed and normally-open valves. Maximised flow rates are delivered through orifice sizes ranging from 1/32 to 5/32. Additionally, the valve line is manufactured with 1/8 port size (NPT) connections.

All 204 and 304 coils have been evaluated by Underwriters Laboratories at elevated temperatures and have complied with the European RoHS (Restrictions of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC.
