OptoDrive of the ProMinent delta series for diaphragm-type metering pumps is a drive concept that offers a combination of metering quality, process reliability and efficiency in chemical feed and process control applications.
The metering technology has a modular design which can be matched to user requirements. The pump features a multilayer safety diaphragm and operates at pressures of less than 12 bar.
Other features include: metering accuracy, flexible adaptation to the metered medium and delivery, as well as integrated monitoring of the hydraulic metering parameters.
The user can set a slow pressure stroke for virtually continuous metering that makes separate pulsation dampers superfluous. It can be easily switched over to a fast pressure stroke for applications involving short-cycle filling operations.
The drive unit automatically compensates for backpressure fluctuations in the metering line.
The feature of recognising any gases trapped in the metering head also contributes to higher accuracy.
OptoDrive detects broken metering lines and clogged metering stations without the need for additional pressure sensors or flow control instruments so that there is no need for the user to provide separate overflow facilities.
The pumps are designed for delivery rates of up to 12 L/h at 16 bar and 80 L/h at 2 bar.
