Boge API-SO series of oil-free compressors

Monday, 19 July, 2010 | Supplied by: Boge Compressors (Australia) Pty Ltd

The Boge API-SO series of oil-free compressors now meets the API 619:2004 standard. The series incorporates the same design features of the standard SO series and is suitable for chemical and pharmaceutical, food and drinks and semiconductor industries as well as the petrochemical and gas industries.

A two-stage Boge airend ensures low specific power consumption. The shafts are sealed by a combination of special sealing rings and a two-stage labyrinth vented to atmosphere leading to optimum operational reliability.

Like all of the Boge oil-free screw compressors, the API-SO series is divided into three sections. The component parts are positioned along the cooling air flow for good service life and prompt availability of compressed air. Control electronics, electrical components and motor are located in the coolest part of the machine.

Both airend stages are easily accessible. Because a separate air fan is fitted as standard, an optional cowl cooler can be mounted directly on the compressor. As the discharge air is cooled, no additional discharge ducting is required, which means the compressor can be installed according to individual requirements.

The series models are available either air- or water-cooled. There are 13 models and 31 variants available in the API-SO range of oil-free direct-driven screw compressors.

The series is available in the standard pressure of 8 and 10 bar. Output capacities range from 5.25 to 51.4 m3/min, motor power 45 to 355 kW.
