Compressed-air technology group teams up with global compression system expert

Friday, 16 January, 2009

Australian compressed-air technology group, Champion Compressors, has signed a national distribution agreement with global compression system expert, Cameron Compression Systems.

The agreement sees Champion Compressors become the sole authorised distributor of Cameron’s range of centrifugal compressors in Australia.

The centrifugal compressor range offered comprises units spanning from 110 to 1600 kW, with larger units up to 30 MW available on request. Coupled with Champion’s suite of rotary screw compressors, the centrifugal compressor range provides users with compressed-air technology choice and functionality.

The centrifugal compressors comply with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards, making them suitable for a range of on- and off-shore oil and gas applications. The compressors are also widely employed across the global air separation sector.

The distribution agreement between the companies also includes the provision of parts, servicing and commissioning of Cameron compressors.

Champion Compressors' National Product Manager Industrial Division, Graeme Cole, said that the new company headquarters in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburb of Dandenong will facilitate the service and support that the company will provide to Cameron products — both new and existing.
