Compressed Air and Power Solutions (CAPS) Australia’s manufacturing division has developed a large packaged skid to support a major natural gas project in Pakistan that will provide energy to thousands of homes and businesses across the country.

The compressor package was produced for the Makori GPF project in Pakistan. The packaged skid is designed to be a self-contained system that can be delivered on site and ready to operate once all the external connections are secured.

The design, construction, testing and delivery of the project was a collaboration between the CAPS manufacturing teams in Perth and the client. Kumar Arik, a Perth-based project engineer with CAPS, had overall responsibility for the global assignment.

The skid, measuring 9 x 2.2 m, consisted of two Ingersoll Rand oil-free rotary screw compressors and two desiccant dryers. These major compressed air components were mounted with all associated filtration and ancillary equipment. The whole package delivered to the end customer had an overall mass of more than 10 tonnes.

According to Arik, the all-Australian CAPS engineering and manufacturing teams deserve the highest commendation for the successful completion of this challenging project. “We have pooled our expertise together to deliver a premium solution to a valued global customer,” Arik said.
