Atlas Copco’s GA and GA VSD compressors, with 90 kW VSD drive and above, provide high-quality compressed air in harsh environmental conditions, at ambient temperatures up to 55°C. Incorporating the company’s oil-injected screw element powered by a high-efficiency electric motor (TEFC IP55 rating), they are claimed to provide a long and trouble-free life at a low operating cost.

Over 70% of a compressor’s life-cycle cost is taken up by energy consumption. Moreover, the generation of compressed air can account for more than 40% of a plant’s total electricity bill. Atlas Copco’s VSD technology closely follows the air demand by automatically adjusting the motor speed - reducing energy costs by an average of 35% and the overall compressor life-cycle costs by an average of 22%.

GA compressors are pre-assembled packages, so they offer plug-and-play installation which is fault free, with a low commissioning time, and no external instrumentation air is required.

The full feature concept includes compressed air and air treatment equipment integrated in the compressor canopy. This limits installation costs and space requirements. The integrated water separator immediately removes 100% of the condensate, resulting in higher air quality.
