Pepperl+Fuchs G20 Ethernet motorised roller control system
The Pepperl+Fuchs G20 Ethernet system is a scalable solution designed to simplify the control of motorised rollers while delivering greater flexibility, efficiency and visibility across conveyor applications.
The G20 Ethernet System combines a central Ethernet controller with up to 60 motor control modules, enabling the control of as many as 120 motorised rollers through a single IP address. Each module can be configured independently to operate in either Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) mode or PLC-controlled mode, allowing simple and complex conveyor tasks to coexist within the same system. Straight conveyor sections can benefit from fast, decentralised control, while junctions, merges, barcode scanning and other advanced processes remain centrally managed.
Designed for Industry 4.0 environments, the G20 Ethernet System supports Profinet and EtherNet/IP, with integrated REST API and OPC UA connectivity for seamless IIoT integration. Advanced diagnostics, including current consumption, voltage, temperature and motor runtime provide operational insights to support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Installation is fast and straightforward due to a compact, tool-free mounting design with integrated cabling that reduces wiring time and potential failure points. Highly visible status LEDs provide instant feedback on module, sensor and motor conditions. Supporting both 24 and 48 V motorised rollers, the G20 Ethernet System is designed to offer the flexibility to adapt to changing application requirements. It also offers an IP67-rated enclosure, a wide operating temperature range of -25 to +70°C, and configurable digital I/O.
