Zeck Z9000 Natural Gas Odorisation System

The Zeck Z9000 Natural Gas Odorisation System is centred around the task of odorising natural gas, simply and accurately, for low-volume applications.

A precision odorisation system, it is claimed to avoid the normal complexity associated with other odorisers or the odorisation process.

Each action is said to be intuitive and predictable and the system is said to work reliably in some of the most sensitive areas.

As the system is typically mounted in remote locations, the electronics can connect to a modem and transmit real-time data to an office or control centre, making it possible to log in and diagnose and troubleshoot problems.

With only two moving parts exposed to odorant, virtually everything can be taken care of remotely.

Benefits include: only two moving parts exposed to odorant - the metering valve and the isolation valve; users see the drop as it falls and is counted and users control the process; no exhaust gas, no smell and no noise.

Other benefits include: capacity at .5#/mm (low: zero, high: 1500 mscfh); small dose size and high frequency - no seasonal adjustments, no large dead-times between doses, accurate odorisation at all flow rates.

In operation, the odorant is pushed from the storage vessel to the spring-closed isolation valve. When the isolation valve is opened, odorant flows to the metering valve. The encapsulated servo opens the metering valve to achieve the desired injection rate.

The optical array (not exposed to odorant) accounts for every drop as it falls into the gas stream and the controller accurately controls the process and reports the results. Alarm conditions are reported and provide the assurance and comfort mandated by the gas industry.

Everything can be monitored and controlled locally or remotely with displays and screens that are easy to understand.
