With the T32.XS temperature transmitters, WIKA claims to have further enhanced the proven concept behind the classic T32.10/T32.30 instruments. Both the measurement and functional characteristics have been optimised.
Two independent Pt100/TC sensors can now be connected to the temperature transmitter. The availability of the measuring point is increased through the instrument's automatic redundancy switching. In addition, the T32.XS offers diagnostic capabilities with its integrated drift detection, combined with extended error signalling. Corrosion monitoring in accordance with NAMUR NE89 is also included.
The transmitters claim functions such as compatibility with almost all open software and hardware tools, as well as international approvals for applications in hazardous areas. Another feature is the compatibility of the new transmitter with existing software modules. When users who have been using model T32.X0 transmitters up to now convert to the new T32.XS, they can keep using previous integrations within their engineering tools via DD, EDDL and DTM technology.
The T32.1S head-mounting transmitter comes in the usual, accepted size, but with additional terminals for the HART communication. It replaces the model T32.10, which has now been available since 1999. The T32.3S rail-mounting transmitter supersedes the T32.30 and is now integrated within an even more user-friendly case.
