Transducer non-invasively measures flow rates in pipes

The PT878 and the OKS transducers combined allows the user to non-invasively measure flow rates in pipes within the temperature range of -200°C to 350°C. The user can carry out flow measurements with the ultrasonic flowmeter without cutting the pipe.

The transducers are mounted on the exterior of the pipe, which simplifies and speeds installation, so that the user has no pressure drops, leaks or contamination.

It’s suitable for testing liquid flow in manufacturing processes, without costly repairs or changes to plant.

Features include:

  • OKS temperature range of -200~350°C;
  • Non-invasive clamp-on transducers;
  • Flow range 0.03 to 12.2 m/s;
  • Up to 32 sets of pipe-data by site;
  • Velocity, volumetric, energy and totalised flow;
  • Built-in data logger for 100,000 measurements;
  • Large LCD display;
  • Resistive Temperature Detectors (RTDs) for energy flow measurement;
  • Operation with many pipe materials, lined or unlined.
