Futek LSB600 S-beam load cell

Friday, 15 January, 2010 | Supplied by: Metromatics Pty Ltd

The Futek LSB600 S-beam load cell is a high-capacity tension and compression transducer with a wide capacity, ranging from 44.5 to 111 kN. With the USB output option, engineers can eliminate the need for an analog amplifier, power supply and display equipment. The USB integration also includes the company’ USB software which allows users to monitor the output of the sensor in real time.

The compact, robust cell offers accuracy and nonlinearity of ±0.1%, minimal deflection of 0.18 mm and an operating temperature of -50 to 93°C. The standard LSB600 S-beam load cell model has female threads that are available in M36 and 1¼ sizes. This load cell utilises metal foil strain-gauge technology and the sensing body is made from quality 17-4PH stainless steel.

Measuring 95 mm tall and weighing 3 kg, this sensor is suitable for applications involving limited space with high capacity requirements. It is supplied with a connector protector and is available with IEEE1451.4 TEDS, USB output option and dual (redundant) bridges.

The high-capacity load cell is suitable for platforms, silos, material testing, press insertion stands and cranes and is specifically designed for use inline with actuator and control systems to provide force feedback. The load cell may be used for both compression and tension applications and inline or end mounted or a combination of both.
