ESI PR3850 pressure transmitter

Wednesday, 10 September, 2014 | Supplied by: ADM Systems Pty Ltd

The PR3850 pressure transmitter is designed to meet the requirements of industrial pressure measurement applications, where a hygienic flush diaphragm connection is needed.

Constructed from stainless steel, its robust design incorporates the latest strain gauge technology, together with a custom IC amplifier giving stability and accuracy over a long service life. This pressure transmitter is particularly suitable for use with high-viscosity materials. Typical applications include food processing, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, and wastewater and slurry handling. The flush membrane is easily cleaned for long-term reliability and performance.

The PR3850 gives a stable and accurate output signal of 4-20 mA with options for 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, 0-20 mA and other output signals. A detachable DIN connector is used for the electrical connection, allowing easy access to zero and span adjustment. Pressure ranges available range from 0-4 to 0-400 bar.

The standard process connection is 1/2″ BSP, but users can also choose from the optional 1″ BSP and 1/2″ NPT male flush diaphragm process connections.  An optional weldable boss is available to ensure flush-face installation of the pressure transmitter to tanks and pipework.

An optional IECEx certified version of this pressure transmitter is also available, approved for explosion protection for flammable gases (Zone 0), dusts (Zone 20) and mining areas (Group I M1).
