Broken bag detection system

Friday, 08 August, 2008 | Supplied by: SWR Engineering Messtechnik Pty Ltd

Dusty is a low-cost broken bag detection system. It uses a triboelectric measuring technique and detects solid particles in a gas flow. The particles must be 0.3 microns in size or larger.

It will detect from 0.1 mg/m3 and can be used with a minimum gas velocity of 4 m/s. The maximum process temperature is 140°C. The detector rod is constructed from stainless steel with a length of 220 mm and the housing is rated to IP65. The outputs are two solid-state relays at 170 mA and the power supply is 12-24 VDC.
