Amalgamated Instruments TP488 scanning monitors

The TP488 range of scanning monitors offers eight channels of input with eight configurable setpoint relays. These products are suitable for multipoint monitoring of analog transducers or temperature sensors.

Three models are available. TP488-IV accepts up to eight channels of analog input (4-20 mA or 0-1 VDC), or AD590 or LM335 temperature sensors.

TP488-RT accepts up to eight channels of Pt100, Pt1000, Ni250 or 10 Ω copper RTDs. The TP488-RT will also accept LM335 sensors.

TP488-TC accepts up to eight channels of type B, E, N, R, J, S, K or T thermocouples or 0-75 mV direct input.

In all models, each channel can be individually configured. The setpoint relays can be configured individually to a channel or to several channels. Similarly, an input channel can be assigned to several relays each operating off different setpoints. This flexibility enhances the control and alarm functions available for applications.

A data logging option is available for all models providing storage of information with timestamps for later analysis. Software provided with the option allows for graphical representation of the data and the opportunity to export the data.

The TP488 range of instruments is housed in a rugged IP65-rated, wall-mounted enclosure. A panel mounting kit is available as an option.
