6918/6998 universal load cells

The 6918/6998 universal load cells, from BCM Sensors, are manufactured based on advanced metal foil strain gauge technology. They are made from either alloy steel (6918), with a nickel-plated treatment or stainless steel (6998).

The S-type load cell can measure both tension and compression, with different capacities ranging from 25 kg to 30 t. These force transducers are widely used in hanging and hopper scales, or where tension and compression forces in a line need to be measured.

The rated output for the load cell can be either 2.0 ±0.002 or 3.0 ±0.008 mV/V. Accuracy is high, with nonlinearity being 0.02% of the full scale range, 0.02%FS hysteresis, and 0.01%FS non-repeatability. The compensated temperature range is -10 to 40°C, and safe overload limit is 150% of full scale output.

This model of load cell features a simple construction and easy installation and replacement. The unit is protected to a protection grade of IP66 or IP67, depending on the user's needs.
