IICA invites members to tour Rail Operations Centre

NSW IICA is inviting members to attend a technical site visit of Transport Sydney’s latest operations centre, claimed to be Australia’s first purpose-built Rail Operations Centre (ROC). The centre oversees up to 80% of the state’s rail network, ensuring that thousands of rail commuters experience seamless journeys.

The ROC contains impressive technical capability, with an operational visual display board spanning 33 metres. The enormous visual display tracks the location of every train in the network.

The private tour will begin on the Ground Floor to learn about the purpose and history of the ROC, followed by a tour of Level 4 to see the Control Room in action.

What: Private tour of Transport Sydney’s purpose-built Rail Operations Centre.

When: Friday, 20 September, 2–3 pm.

Where: 177 Wyndham Street, Alexandria, Sydney.
