ISOIL has released the MV255 FLOWIZ, a battery-powered converter with integrated modem for ISOMAG electromagnetic flow measurement systems. Designed for remote water, wastewater and industrial monitoring points, the MV255 can power any ISOMAG insertion or flanged sensor up to DN1800 while also managing up to two pressure or temperature sensors.

The MV255 FLOWIZ is designed to help utilities and process operators capture more data from remote assets without relying on permanent site power. The unit can be powered by lithium or alkaline batteries, with estimated battery life of 15 years or more depending on measurement conditions. Batteries can be replaced without interrupting measurement, while optional AC, DC or solar power can be used with battery backup to help prevent data loss during outages.

With an integrated cellular modem, the MV255 enables wireless transmission of measured flow and pressure or temperature data. Encrypted communication, compressed data packaging and SMS alarms support secure, cost-efficient remote monitoring when process thresholds are exceeded. The converter also includes an internal 4 GB data logger for years of flow and pressure recording.

Built-in verification continuously monitors sensor parameters to help anticipate potential problems. Technical specifications include accuracy of ±0.4% of measured value, optional ±0.25% accuracy, repeatability better than ±0.2%, analogue 4–20 mA output and keyboard, display or mini-USB programming.
