Endress+Hauser Promass E Coriolis flowmeter
Endress+Hauser’s Promass E is a Coriolis flowmeter with true 2-wire technology. Most 2-wire Coriolis meters are limited to using only 12-20 mA due to their power requirements, whereas the Promass E offers the full output range of 4-20 mA, thereby offering twice the resolution and accuracy.
Based on Coriolis sensor technology, the flowmeter offers reliable, simultaneous measurement of mass flow, fluid density and temperature while meeting the relevant safety standards such as NAMUR and SIL. With its intrinsically safe IEC Ex certified design, the Promass E is suitable for use in hazardous areas.
A user-oriented operator interface is designed to make commissioning and operation faster and more reliable. Application-specific set-up is possible via the local display, FieldCare or any open FDT/DTM configuration tool. Operator, maintenance and expert menus ensure that the user only has access to the configuration parameters they need. Intuitive fault and troubleshooting messages are directly displayed for fast resolution.
Device, event and configuration data is securely stored on the Promass E’s HistoROM. This enables the transfer of configurations to other similar Promass E devices during commissioning or the fast exchange of measuring electronics without the need for re-calibration.
In addition to liquids such as acids, alkalis and solvents, the Promass E also measures all gases. The application pressure range extends to 10 MPa with a process temperature range of -40 to 140°C. It can be supplied with line sizes from DN8 to DN50 and has a mass/volume flow accuracy of ±0.25% and a density accuracy of ±0.0005 g/cm3.
