Users can securely plug the connector needed directly into machinery with very little effort - and without a single tool, according to Weidmüller. To connect simply insert the cable, press together and that's it.
The gigabit connector for industrial standards with IDC connection technology has been developed to make wiring quick, easy and safe, without the need for any tools.
In addition, its tough metal die-cast housing makes the connector extra robust and therefore suitable for industrial environments. It is also fitted with a protected locking clip for tough industrial applications.
The RJ45 metal connectors feature an 8-core RJ45 plug-in connector for Gigabit Ethernet and plug-in connectors for variants 4 (Ethernet TCP/IP), 5 (Profinet) and 1 (Ethernet/IP).
Weidmüller claims the RJ45 metal connector is tough, reliable and easy to use - with over 750 guaranteed connection cycles - and long lasting thanks to IP20 die-cast zinc housing (Cat 6).
Also available is a range of metal or plastic IP67 water and dustproof plug and bulkhead housings as well as RJ45 (crimp tool or field versions) or fibre-optic plugs and connectors.
